Demand for hardwood lumber in the Philippines is rising, driven by a fast-growing construction sector and increased demand for furniture.
According to a recent report, imports of hardwood lumber into the Philippines between 2017 and 2020 had risen by almost 20 percent. Domestic supply is limited and unable to meet the increasing demand, leading to higher prices for hardwood lumber.
